The water supply for homes on the Tasman is entirely harvested through rainwater tanks, spring and creek water collection. There is no mains water connection from the Tasman to Hobart’s treated water supply. The Tasman has no publicly treated water access sites. Drinking water can be purchased from local shops or through purchase of treated water provided by water carters or from privately treated home rainwater tanks.

If your household tanks run dry there are a number of water carters who may assist. Check with them about the standard of their water supply for your household needs.
