During school term the pool is available 6-8am and 3-6pm daily. During school holidays the pool is available for hire between 6am-6pm.
Located on the grounds of the Tasman District School
The pool is open for swimming around October/November until the end of March/April. It is closed for winter. It is owned by the Lions Club of Tasman and managed by volunteers. Anyone from the community who wishes to help with this are very welcome.
The pool is 12.5m long and heated to 28 degrees Celsius. It is 1.2m deep at the shallow end and 2m at the deep end. There are male and female changerooms on site with toilet and shower facilities. There is a wide stepped entrance to access the pool at the shallow end and a ladder at the deep end. The pool is cleaned and the water quality monitored and tested daily.
All bookings and payment occur only through the website. Bookings can be made by individuals, groups or businesses for:
- Seasonal use from October to April outside of school hours: $220/season
- Casual use from October to April outside of school hours: $16/hour
- Block bookings for swimming or health related programs outside of school hours
The cost of the seasonal or the casual booking entitles from 2-10 people to use the pool for that booking time. It is essential to have one person present at the time of the booking with Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Qualifications. Evidence of CPR training is required to make bookings.
We really want the pool to be used for community and health related activities. A slightly higher fee of $30/hour may apply. The numbers attending may be increased for programs eg. Swimming lessons, aqua aerobics.
