A visiting Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) is available to families with children from birth to 5 years of age in the Tasman area.

An initial home visit is typically offered around 2 weeks after birth. Ongoing child health and development checks are available by appointment at Nubeena, generally at key stages including 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 6 months, 12 months, 2 years and 4 years (Healthy Kids Check).

The service provides support and advice on child development, feeding, sleep, health, and parenting.
