During an emergency, you can listen to ABC radio (936AM or various FM frequencies) for more information about Evacuation Sites. The local Radio Station is 97.7FM. If it is safe to do so, all tourists on the Peninsula can be directed to the Port Arthur Historic Site.

Tasman Council works directly with the State Government to open Evacuation Sites following the declaration of an emergency. The location of the Evacuation Centres will depend upon the type and location of the emergency.
