This National Lifeline telephone number is available 24/7. It provides immediate telephone support for anyone experiencing or supporting someone with a personal crisis or thinking of suicide.
You can expect someone to:
- Listen to your situation
- Provide immediate support
- Help you clarify your options and choices
- Provide you with referral information in your area
A free interpreting service for people who do not speak English is available. To access this service please listen to the options when you call Lifeline. Otherwise, call the Telephone Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450 and ask to talk to Lifeline on 13 11 14 in the language required. TIS will call 13 11 14 on behalf of the caller. A call to TIS is the cost of a local call from landlines (additional charges for mobiles).
